Great British Divers Bring Home Gold Medal
On the third day of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Tom Daley and Matty Lee have managed to scoop up a gold medal for diving. The achievement is only made sweeter considering this is Lee’s first Olympics attempt at the tender age of 23, and Daley’s 4th attempt, 13 years after his first, he has finally achieved the first place prize he so rightly deserved.

NHS Gratitude Inspires Art
51 statues have been created in honour and homage to our country’s beloved NHS. The statues in the collection, entitled Gratitude, are designed to reflect the individual artists’ gratitude and style. For instance, MrASingh’s sculpture was dedicated to key workers from diverse backgrounds.
While the exhibition, located in Birmingham is free to attend, the sculptures will later be auctioned off with some proceeds going to NHS Charities Together.
Rain Floods London
Torrential rain hit the capital this weekend, flooding roads, houses, and worst of all, hospitals. Whipps Cross and Newham hospitals have asked patients to visit alternative A&E’s.
Despite the usual grey and wet British weather, residents have said they’ve never seen something quite like it as cars are abandoned and people rush to shops to buy supplies in an attempt to protect their homes from the water.
