Medical alert systems
So first things first, what are medical alert systems? We often use different names for our alarms at Telecare Choice including: fall alarms, pendant alarms, telecare alarms, personal alarms or medical alert systems. All of these refer to the same thing – an alarm that can be worn and activated with a push of a button to get help.
Medical alert systems (like our Telecare alarms) are commonly used by the elderly, frail and disabled to enable them to live at home. Where living at home alone could have once seemed unsafe, today Telecare technology can provide over the phone assistance in an emergency.
Telecare Choice range and prices
- Annual Package – Both the annual and monthly packages include both the rental of the Telecare equipment and 24 hour monitoring from our monitoring centre. The equipment includes the plug and play base unit, the wireless waterproof pendant button and the wrist strap and necklace attachments. By paying yearly you save £30 on the annual cost of the system.
- Monthly Package – The Telecare Alarm Monthly Package is the affordable way of getting all of the reassurance that Telecare offers. If you can’t afford a yearly payment a monthly plan may work for you. First two months payable in advance.

Alongside our Telecare alarm system you have the choice to also purchase other products to keep your, or someone else’s home safe.
- KeyKeeper Keysafe – A keysafe means that an emergency contact or a medical professional can access the property quickly and without causing any damage.
- Supra C500 – The C500 allows a spare key to be easily accessed by family, neighbours or medical professionals whilst remaining inaccessible to potential intruders.
- Telecare Smoke Detector – The Telecare Smoke Detector provides all of the benefits of a high quality smoke alarm but also alerts our monitoring centre in the event of fire.
