Supporting the People of Hartlepool
Our Telecare service is here to protect, support, and assist the elderly residents of Hartlepool. We're a national provider of the Telecare alarm, which means that we're not connected to any council.
With Telecare Choice, you'll be looked after by our 24-hour monitoring centre. They're available 365 days a year and will respond to your alarm calls instantly.
Simplicity is key within the Telecare industry, which is why our alarms are easy-to-use and to understand. The alarms also come with free next day delivery and can be installed within minutes.
What is the Telecare Alarm System?
The Alarm's Base Unit
ur alarm is a plug & play device which can be installed by you or a loved one within a few short moments. Simplicity and speed is at the heart of the service we provide.
The base unit needs to go into your existing telephone line socket and the mains power in your home. Next, plug your telephone into the back of the unit, using the adaptor provided inside the box. Press red to complete a test call with our monitoring centre, who will check that everything is working correctly.
The base unit allows you to communicate with the monitoring centre. It has a loudspeaker so that you can hear them nice and clearly, as well as a built-in microphone so that you can respond and inform them of your situation and medical needs.
The Alarm's Pendant Button
Alongside the base unit, you'll also receive the alarm's little pendant button. This device allows you to choose how you wear your "help button," to ensure that you're comfortable. Options include around the wrist like a watch, or around the neck like a necklace.
In an emergency, you need to press the red button on your pendant. This alerts the monitoring centre, who will respond over the base unit to see what has happened. They'll assess and call for help, by contacting friends and family chosen by you. The emergency services will also be contacted if needed.
The pendant will work in the bathroom thanks to its waterproof functionality, and has a battery life of around seven years - a free replacement will be sent when needed.
Annie, Sunderland
I felt so much better coming out of hospital to a Telecare button. I'd had my knee replaced and was vulnerable to falls. It made me feel safer.
Dan, Cardiff
We've found that the alarm hasn't just benefited Mum's life but ours as well. We worry less knowing she can let people know if there's a problem.
Robert, Nottingham
The alarm has made a huge difference to Mum’s confidence and it definitely brings me a lot of comfort.
Dr. Spratt, Worcestershire
For patients at high risk of falls, living independently at home can be a real struggle. Telecare alarms help give them that extra confidence by making sure help is always readily available.
Pricing Plans
Telecare Choice offer two simple price plans to ensure that you can get your personal alarm up and running as soon as possible.
Of course, both of our price plans come with free 24-hour delivery so that you can have your new alarm and pendant installed sooner, rather than later.
Once installed the alarm user will be covered by our 24-hour Monitoring Team. Should they need help, day or night, all they need to do is simply push the Telecare pendant and a member of the team will respond within seconds.
The Monitoring Team will then take appropriate action to ensure the user gets help - whether this is contacting a relative or the emergency services. Ensure help can gain access to the property with a Keysafe.
